Tetiana (Tanja) Havlin is a researcher and lecturer in the department of sociology of Universität Siegen, where she is working on her habilitation under Professor Stefan Kutzner. Since 2019 she also co-ordinates a Jean Monnet module on cohesion and integration in the EU at this university. She is also adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland University College Europe, where she teaches introduction to sociology. She has participated as a visiting lecturer at Universidade da Coruña's Interational Summer School several times, with courses and modules on varied topics such as civil disobedience and democratic transition, introduction to sociology, or diversity management. Her research focuses on the analysis of social structures and social inequality in Europe and, in particular, human agency, social movements, migration, and incorporation strategies in Europe. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mechnikov Odessa National University and a PhD from Karazin Kharkov National University. Se is also equality officer of her faculty at Universität Siegen.
